LABOUR RELATIONS

In 1978 the Ontario Labour Relations Act set out a legislated Province wide structure for Collective Bargaining between employers and 28 Unions in Ontario’s Industrial Commercial and Institutional construction Industry.

The administration and negotiation of the local conditions held in many of those Collective Agreements is the responsibility of experienced Construction Association staff who regularly provide details of local Trade working conditions in addition to assistance and advice on Labour Relations matters and issues facing contractors.

Association staff are also able to provide introductory and referral services to competent and experienced Construction Industry Labour Lawyers if required.

A complete library of individual Trade Collective Agreements covering the ICI Sector is available on-line at www.clrao.ca.

The Sault Ste. Marie Construction Association brings general contractors, trade contractors, manufacturers and suppliers of construction materials and equipment, as well as other firms associated with the Construction Industry together in a single organization.
