Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Production Manager for our Truss Division at our Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario location. This position reports directly to the President, and will be required to oversee the daily operations of the production facility.

Truss Production Manager Responsibilities:
? Work with the Human Resources Department to ensure that the facility is staffed with qualified and engaged personnel. Train and coach staff to help them reach their potential and to ensure maximum efficiency. Follow-up with personnel issues as necessary. Manage labor requirements based on demands.
? Develop strategies to improve the overall operational performance and safety of the plant and the yard operations.
? Receive and interpret Working Drawings. Follow-up with draftsmen & engineers as necessary. Draft cut lists for production and schedule work. Provide and maintain appropriate department lead-times for the sales team.
? Complete all shipping and receiving functions of incoming and outgoing product shipments. Manage the dispatch/delivery to ensure delivery schedules are met.
? Maintain the fiscal responsibility for the profitability of the plant, including inventory management.
Position Qualifications:
? Ability to read blue-prints – preferred.
? Understanding of load transfer, EWP layouts, truss design, prepare cut lists, and coordinate manufacturing – preferred.
? Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, organization and interpersonal skills
? Ability to provide clear task assignments, create a shared understanding of strategic direction, promote a sense of purpose and inspire motivation.
? Strong organization, time management, and follow-up.
? Strong leadership skills. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
Education and Experience
? 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience; Truss plant management experience considered an asset.
? Mitek Truss Software, and Biz-track experience preferred
